Yes they do. You are more liekly to have random liasons with guys because it doesn't matter as much when your drunk. Also everyone seems to be going out on the pull so why not. As long as its protected sex what's the harm in it.

I strongly believe that both women and men take more risks after a few drinks. I know many people who have had casual sexual encounters, and then have regretted it completely the next day. I have also witnessed my own behaviour changing after drinking, and despite being happily married have become quite flirtatious after a few drinks. Alcohol invites you to behave in a way you would see as completely unacceptable when sober. How many people have one-night stands without alcohol being a factor?

I agree to what Patricia.keogh says im a drinker & have 3 kids but know of some girl that got so wasted she didn't know she was having sex (passed out) now she has a baby. I know when to stop my drinking unlike others, reason I drink is to deal with many losses but I know its not the answer some times its worse & brings out more depression.

hello, am not from scotland but i like this country so much but the only thing i think it should be changed is the way of drinking because it's well known about scottish people that they drink alot, but the problem is how to slove the whole problems from it's roots...i think by teaching the next generation the dangers of drinking this way and that they might lose thier lives just because of some drinks.

hi, ive been teetotal for 3 years now,and believe me i could drink, but after seeing abt 6 close young guys been killed by alcohol abuse, i got my eyes open,i lost my licence, good job, my family and more in the space of a week, it was horrendous, drink kills and i wish it was advertised more in schools, if you go to any school in the land all the posters are about drug abuse, nothing about drink abuse, its scandalous, wht do people think, thanks

It's not a fuss about nothing, and it's not a minority issue. The limits are not made up and 'set' . what they are is an indication of the level over which most people will start to experience harm, even if they don't know it yet. anyone having more than a couple of drinks in one sitting is misusing alcohol and their health will suffer.

I have friends who drink every weekend. I think they do this to block things out and fill an empty hole. I don't drink like when I was younger as I don't like my personality when I drink. I now know I can enjoy a few without getting in danger etc. Stick to your limits!

This is all a fuss about nothing. There are a minority of people who do drink too much. There always has been and there always will be. The current "daily recommended maximum" is set stupidly low and the way that the term "binge drinking" has been re-defined is absolutely rediculous and is indeed misleading. Binge drinking used to mean a heavy, prolonged session, possibly lasting more than one day. It does not, and never has meant, drinking more than a couple of pints of beer in any given day. To be honest, I am fed up to the back teeth of hearing all this knee-jerking about drink. If people are using alcohol irresponsibly and are breaking the law then deal with them by enforcing THE EXISTING LAWS. We do NOT need any new laws which only affect the innocent.

Its not just women. alcohol is an hypnotic sedative which has and immediate effect on the brain even after 1 drink. It not only lowers inhibitions and adversely affects judgement, but the sense of euphoria and well being it is designed to induce, is why people often drink more than they intended to.
