Let's face it, we've all had an underage tipple regardless of what our parents told us or what their drinking habits were. I personally spent nearly every Friday between the ages of 17-21 very drunk indeed but I grew out of it. But then again, things were a bit different when I was younger. My youth wasn't full of 'celebrities' falling out of clubs drunk. My 'celebrities' sung, danced, acted and for the best part kept their stories for Smash Hits and even then they were edited heavily so our young eyes didn't get too many mental ideas. I don't blame the parents, or even the shopkeepers who sell the drink, a the end of the day it's getting relly hard to distinguish ages of kids between the ages of 14-19 with the fact the ALL LOOK THE SAME. I blame the five minute of fame hungry wannabes and the relentless media who report on the misgivings of these idiots. Young people are very open to suggestion, so if Lilly Allen (oh God why!), Duffy (as before) and any of the BB twits (set fire to that house, please) are doing it, young un's will be hot on their heels. But not all young people can be tarred with the same brush. Some of them really are sensible and won't follow the rest of the sheep.

Children at my secondry school regularly drink Alcohol to get drunk. A kid who shall remain nameless at my school had to be atmitted to hospital yestarday to get his stomash pumped after drinking 20 md. I do not drink as fortunatley my parents were kind enough not to set a bad example. I have talked to some of these people who all say that they drink becausetheir parents drank when they were young. This is contributing to the Binge drinking image of Scotland... Home of the Brave?... When did you last see someone activley taking a stand against drunk youths who may I remind you are in he minourity and cause the rest of us problems with ageisim. :[

Education of young persons is required to introduce the message that a "natural high" can be obtained through sport and physical activity. Excess alcohol is not required to produce the "happy feeling" Also a healthy mind and body is produced and not a vulnerable person.

To encourge responsible use of alcohol, I propose that there should be an issuing of a "licence to buy alcohol".

Do middle-aged women go on and on about their rascally little glass of alcoholic wine because they are too old to go on and on about the latest record? Perhaps prohibition would show this up. "Can't have that"

Middle-aged elbow benders are such because they can't sing a better song. It's a substitute for their mothers' comforting breast.

Women are getting a sore face behind closed doors from the alcohol dealers' drug. When are their sisters going to get up off their knees and vote for councillors that support prohibition?

Prohibition does not work. Look at the United States in the 20s - people got rich making smuggling and sellling alcohol another example is Saudi. More alcoholics come out of there because alcohol is banned but it is made and drunk in vast quantities.
