Are our children suffering from our hangovers?

we need to be sensible about this, the occasional hang over is tolerable and lets the kids see some of the negative effects of over-indulgence. however when it gets to be regular there's no way the quality of relationships can be maintained and its hardest on kids who miss out on this quality time with their parents.

The over consumption of alcohol is not always the problem but the sympton of other deeper lying issues that need to be addressed. Poor relationships, unemployment & low self esteem contribute to much of the poor drinking habits in this country and bad habits can be hard to break. Many people drink to escape from their indifferent existence. So whilst overindulgence of alcohol is unacceptable it would be naive not to consider the other possible contributing factors.

Take more responsibility for your Children? Why should it come down to Shop Owners to watch which 25+ they're selling alcohol too incase they're in turn going to give it to the neds hanging about outside the shop? Are you proud of having a ned, that you don't even know that they're hanging out at the shop round the corner asking your Neighbours to buy them Drink? Another thing is kids need educated that being Pissed whilst outside the local News & Booze in the rain isn't entertainment Stop dragging everyone else down and making it their responsibility. Take control of your own kids instead of making it harder for everyone else to have a good time?

when i was young wee did not even think of asking for alcohol , as most of the shop owners knew my familyand if i was to ask for something like that a member of my family would be called to the shop and asked if iwas aloud to get it or not and then got hell when wee got home for it , but as i never did i can say i was 1 of the lucky ones , but most of my friends did , i do not even by alcohol in this house ,its not aloud in this house , might by it for a b.day or xmas pres but nothing else , its just the way i am , should go back to the old way when it was so hard for young kids to by alcohol, it might make them think twice be 4 they even ask for it.

Alcohol should only be sold to 25 and over and must have id on them , no id no alcohol , and any shop that give alcohol to any 1 under 25 is breaking the law.

kids are going to drink no matter what we do all. We as Parents should show them that drinking is not every thing, but there are Parents that dont know them self when to stop drinking, so the child is only going to do the same.
